| Tree-Lined Barrier and Habitat Jimmy Adams W&OD Trail The W&OD Trail needed shrubbery and small trees planted in between the bike path and the horse trail along a section located in Ashburn, to provide a border between residential areas and the trail as well as provide food for wildlife such as birds and deer. Eagle Scout candidate, Jimmy Adams of Troop 572 contacted the manager of the W&OD Railroad Trail to inquire what projects needed to be undertaken for the success of the trail. He was informed of this major need and accepted the project as an Eagle Scout project. This project included requesting funds, researching indigenous trees and shrubs, and securing volunteer labor. The project was divided into two major phases:
